It all starts before the sun comes up. Vendors from all over the east coast make their way to the pre-dawn lineup. At 4:15am, the gates to the parking lot open and cars are queued up waiting for their turn to get loaded onto the field. Many of the loyal vendors of this community have been attending since the very start of this market in the 1970s.
However, every week there is a unique mix of old and new vendors bringing merchandise that captivates all the senses. By 6:55am, the field gates are closed and vendors are busy unloading their trucks and displaying their wares for the droves of buyers that come crashing through the gates at 7:00am seeking deals of every sort. On a typical Sunday, the vendor field is filled with over 500 vendors.
There are three categories of buyers that comprise the marketplace at the Trunk: Super-early Buyers, Early Buyers and Regular Buyers.
The Super-early Buyers ($40 admission) are the hard-core deal seekers. These are the folks looking for that one-of-a-kind piece whose value is far-reaching and must be bought before anyone else lays their eyes on it. These committed individuals can be found on the field as early at 4:45am poking through vendors’ car windows with flashlights and making deals before these bigger ticket items even get unloaded. (The early bird really does get the worm in this case)
Early Buyers ($20 admission) are no less committed to the treasure hunting experience, however they recognize that 5:45am is plenty early for them and there are still a plethora of treasures to find and deals to be made amongst the over 500 Vendors being loaded onto the field.
Regular Buyers ($2 admission) are welcomed on the field at 7:00am. The morning sunshine illuminates the vast market as the smells of the breakfast sandwiches and mini-doughnuts fill the air…happiness abounds.

The Elephant’s Trunk Flea Market is officially closed for the 2019 Season. Our hearts want to be open a couple more times this year, but our minds tell us it’s not a good idea. Although the temperature will be nice this coming Sunday, the field conditions are just not conducive to vehicle traffic. Since we were unable to host the Stuff-A-Cruiser this year, we would like to mention you still can donate a new-unwrapped toy or gift to the Stuff-A-Cruiser gift drive this coming Saturday, December 7 at the Kohl’s parking (New Milford, CT) lot from 9-3. We will re-open for the 2020 Season in early April, and will provide an exact date as the weather begins to break. We would like to extend a very sincere "Thank You" to all of the loyal vendors and patrons that brave the cold and dark early morning hours to make this Flea Market the most unique marketplace experience every week. Please have a safe and happy holiday season and a healthy New Year. See you in the Spring at the Trunk!!! www.etflea.com ... See MoreSee Less

I have come to the Trunk to buy and to sell. It is the best flea market I have ever been to. The variety of merchandise is incredible and the food vendors do a very good job. The market is well run and the vast majority of the vendors bring interesting stuff. If I wasn’t a vendor, I would be there to shop.

Well run with an astounding amount of quality antique and vintage merchandise. And the lemonade is delicious!

Made my first trip to the Trunk this past Sunday and I was very impressed. You folks do everything the way it should be done. Parking is easy, the field is well set up, admission is reasonable, and the dealer selection was terrific. I wish we lived closer because I would love to set up a table there!
